Greyer LLC operates ami (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the ami application and related services that link to this policy (the “Services”). Contact us at hello@meetami.com.
Apple Health: if you connect Apple Health, ami reads the Health data you allow on your device. This can include activity, workouts, heart and respiratory measurements, vitals, body measurements, sleep, mindfulness, nutrition, hearing, cycle tracking, sexual activity and symptoms. You choose which of these categories ami reads in ami’s Apple Health settings. Switching a category off removes it from daily summaries when the updated summaries sync successfully; older stored dates age out through the retention cleanup described below. ami never writes to Health. Your device turns this data into daily summaries, such as totals, averages and ranges, sleep minutes by stage and a list of workouts. Only these summaries are sent to us; individual samples stay on your device. Your device uploads summaries for the most recent 30 days. To allow for time-zone differences, the server retains summaries from 31 days before the current UTC date onward, including that cutoff date. Older summaries are removed during periodic cleanup. Your amis can use the summaries to answer your requests, and the relevant summaries may then be processed as described in section 3. Disconnecting Apple Health in ami’s connector settings deletes the stored summaries from our servers. You can also turn off ami’s access in the Health app. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, is not shared with advertising or data brokers, and is not used to train AI models.
Touch, motion and device collector: while you are signed in and the app is in the foreground, diagnostics are enabled automatically. They include touch and gesture measurements, keyboard timing and frame metadata, motion measurements throughout foreground sessions, device capabilities, network conditions, and public device-integrity signals. These diagnostics are linked to your account. This collector does not capture typed text, message content, audio, clipboard contents, or location.
OS reliability summaries: separately, when you are signed in and the App diagnostics preference is enabled, ami sends OS-provided device-level summaries of app hangs and exits to PostHog. They contain counts, hang durations, reporting windows and app version/build information, with a random identifier for each app process. They do not contain account IDs, user content, stack traces or raw OS diagnostic reports. Turning off App diagnostics stops future sending and clears pending summaries. It does not recall summaries already accepted by PostHog, and deleting account-linked collector data does not erase those OS summaries.
We use information to operate your account; respond to requests; generate AI responses, transcripts, summaries, and other results; maintain relevant conversation context; perform tasks and integrations you request; process payments; and provide support and service communications.
We also use information to analyze and improve the Services, develop products, prevent fraud and misuse, protect security, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. AI-sharing permission is for providing the requested service, not model training or advertising. We don't and won't ever train models based on your data, including recordings. We may create de-identified or aggregated information that does not identify you.
We may use information for marketing, promotions, and offers, or for other purposes disclosed when we collect it, with your consent, or at your direction. Your choices are described below.
AI features send relevant messages, conversation context, files, images, audio, and connected-service content to third-party AI services to generate responses, transcribe recordings, summarize information, and carry out requests. The information shared depends on the feature and request.
AI sharing permission: before AI processing starts, ami asks for your explicit permission to share the information needed for your request, including messages, conversation history, memories, files, images, audio, connected-service content and Apple Health summaries you have chosen to share. The AI recipients are OpenRouter and its hosting providers OpenAI, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, DeepInfra, Together AI and Groq. AI-sharing permission covers providing the requested service only. It does not authorize model training or advertising. We don't and won't ever train models based on your data. Apple Health advertising and training restrictions remain unchanged.
Our requirements for engaged AI processors include the same or equal protection for your information as described in this policy, including security safeguards, limits on use to the requested processing, and support for applicable privacy rights. You can withdraw AI-sharing permission in Settings. New AI processing is blocked once withdrawal is saved by our server, and we stop active AI work as part of confirming withdrawal. An offline withdrawal leaves AI off on this device and remains pending until the server confirms it; ami offers Retry and retries when the app returns to the foreground. Withdrawal cannot recall information already sent to a provider.
When you direct ami to interact with a connected service or website, relevant information and actions are shared with that service. Its own privacy policy applies to information it receives. Disconnecting a service prevents future access through that connection but does not automatically erase information already received or actions already completed.
We use the following providers to operate ami and meetami.com. Each entry explains what information the provider processes and why. Which providers receive your information depends on the features you use; joining the website waitlist does not by itself send your email to our AI or connected-account providers.
Apple — push notifications. When notifications are enabled, Apple’s Push Notification service processes the device push token and notification payload so we can deliver alerts to your device. Apple also operates the App Store and any Apple sign-in you choose under its own terms and privacy policy.
Services you connect or ask ami to use. Providers such as Google, Microsoft, Slack and Oura, and websites you ask ami to interact with, receive the requests and information needed to perform those actions. These are separate recipients with their own privacy policies, rather than all being processors acting only on our instructions. You choose which accounts to connect and can disconnect them as described below.
We maintain this list as our service providers change. Provider privacy links describe their own practices; they do not replace this policy or mean that every provider receives all of your information.
We share information with providers that support hosting, account authentication, analytics, customer support, security, communications, and payments. We are responsible for selecting providers that protect personal information consistently with this policy and applicable requirements. We may also share information with affiliates and partners providing services you request or products we jointly offer.
The meetami.com website uses Meta for advertising measurement and attribution as described in the external data processors and service providers section above. We use analytics providers as described above to understand and improve the Services. If these practices change, we will update this policy and obtain any required consent before the change takes effect.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations or lawful requests, enforce agreements, investigate misuse, collect amounts owed, or protect rights, property, and safety. Information may also be transferred in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
Touch, motion and device collector payloads are removed after 30 days from first server receipt. A minimal collector upload receipt containing batch identifiers and hashes is kept for up to 90 days to prevent duplicate uploads. Turning off app diagnostics or deleting your account removes both the collector payloads and these receipts. These retention and deletion rules apply to that collector, not the separate OS reliability summaries sent to PostHog.
We keep personal information while needed to provide the Services and for the purposes described in this policy. Retention depends on the information, your account and deletion requests, and legal, security, and operational needs. Some records may need to be retained after account deletion to comply with law, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or document that deletion occurred. Contact us with questions about a particular record or deletion request.
Information may be processed and stored in countries where we or our providers operate, including outside your country and the United States. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.
We use reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect personal information. No transmission or storage system is completely secure; contact us if you believe your account or information is at risk.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required by the law where you live, to use the Services. If you are below the age of majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian, who must review and agree to our Terms of Service with you. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone below the applicable minimum age. If you believe someone below that age has provided personal information, contact hello@meetami.com so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
Greyer LLC is responsible for the personal information covered by this policy. Send questions and privacy requests to hello@meetami.com.
We may update this policy as the Services or our practices change. We will make the updated policy available through the Services and provide additional notice when required. The date above identifies the latest revision.
